This two-day course is designed to advance the practical, theoretical and personal skills necessary for the care of critically ill surgical patients. The course is suitable for Medical Officers with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a surgical department, and those undergoing their surgical training (Master of Surgery) or just obtained their Master of Surgery.

Important: If you are in the earlier part of surgical training you must submit a CV with your application.

Note: Placements are given for the first sixteen eligible applicants who return their fully completed form with payment. The application form will be available to be downloaded two months prior to the course date.

Cancellation & Transfer Policy

1. Cancellations by Participants
More than 6 weeks before the course

Participants who cancel their registration more than 6 weeks before the scheduled course date will receive a refund of the course fee minus a 10% administrative charge.

Within 6 weeks of the course

Cancellations made within 6 weeks of the course start date are not eligible for a refund.

2. Transfer to Another Course Date
Eligibility
  • Transfers may be requested but are strictly subject to the availability of slots on the preferred alternative date.
  • If the requested date is fully subscribed, the transfer cannot be accommodated.
Transfer Fees
  • Requests more than 6 weeks before the course: No transfer fee.
  • Requests made within 6 weeks of the course start date: A 10% administrative fee applies.
If a transfer is not possible

If no suitable transfer date is available, the request will be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation terms above will apply.

3. Replacement Participants
  • Participants may nominate a replacement delegate from the same institution or organisation, subject to CSAMM approval.
  • An administration fee may apply for reissuing documents and updating course records.
4. Course Amendments or Cancellations by CSAMM

CSAMM reserves the right to:

  • Amend course dates
  • Change venues
  • Replace or reassign faculty
  • Adjust course timetables
  • Cancel a course, if necessary

Important: If CSAMM cancels a course, participants will receive a full refund of the course fee.

CSAMM is not responsible for additional costs incurred by participants, such as flight bookings, accommodation, transportation, or personal expenses.

5. Acceptance of Policy

Submission of the registration form and payment of course fees constitutes acceptance of the above Cancellation & Transfer Policy.

Participants are advised to review their availability carefully before registration and to arrange travel accommodations only after receiving final confirmation of their seat.

This course is designed to advance the practical, theoretical and personal skills necessary for the care of critically ill surgical patients. It is aimed at surgeons and those dealing with surgical patients who are in specialist training.

Level

Medical Officers with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a surgical department, including early surgical trainees and pre-Masters doctors

Duration

2 days

If we discover that your experience is below the required level before or at any time during the course, the College reserves the right to refuse you from continuing to attend the course without compensation.
